A typographic archive redesigned to feel as alive and layered as the streets it documents — crafted for, by, and with Obsessive Letterform LoversTM
The redesign focused on two objectives: first, making an interlinked cohesive archive of street lettering sightings; and second, bring a classic print-inspired vibe that makes browsing through the sightings feel as much fun as thumbing through a coffee-table book.
Our foremost objective was to encourage letter enthusiasts to discover more in this rabbithole of street lettering. Pooja puts tremendous efforts into cataloguing each sighting with layers of meaningful information, and we wanted the design to reflect that vastness of effort and its outcomes.
Each sighting is tagged with multiple metadata fields, such as: location, script, language, lettering style, material / technique, and establishment type. Each meta-data further acts as filters for the sightings.
